About Aryankavu

Aryankavu is a small village situated in Kollam district of the state of Kerala. The village is comfortably situated on National Highway 744, in the vicinity of Thenmala.More precisely, it is the mountain pass situated in Western Ghats. The Punalur-Shenkottai meter gauge railway line goes through Aryankavu. The village town is accessible and worth visiting all through the year.Aryankavu is a fabulous hill station, well known for pristine landscape and beauty. The hill station maintains a very rich cultural and pastoral lifestyle.

Sabarimala Mandala Kalam
Ayyappan temple is the center of celebration, where festivities are celebrated with immense richness and fervor during the final days of Sabarimala Mandala Kalam. The key festivities observed comprise Pandiyan Mudippu, Trikkalyanam and Kumbhabhishekam. The festival is celebrated annually and attended by tourists in amazing numbers.

Aryankavu Shastha Temple
Rituals and Pujas are continuously performed according to the Tamil Tradition at Aryankavu Sastha Temple.The sanctum sanctorum idealized in temple has three idols that symbolize Devi, Shiva and Sastha. The young and youthful Ayyapparests in the middle with Devi to his left and Lord Shiva to his right.
