Skiing in Auli

The famous ski resort at Auli lies in Chamoli District and attracts hundreds of skiing enthusiasts every year. The ski slopes extend up to 7 km and the altitude varies from 2,896m to 3,200m on the edge of Nanda Devi National Park amidst the spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks.

Auli boasts of two lifts to bring skiers back to the starting point. The first is the ski lift which climbs back to the top by 500 meters and the other is the chair lift climbing around 800 meters.
