Auli offers some of the finest tracks where you can trek easily. The mountain peaks range from about 2,500 to 3,000 m, and this moderate altitude bodes well for the enthusiasts. However, the die hard can always trek up to Himalayan peaks such as Nanda Devi, Kamet, Mana Parvat, Dunagiri, and Joshimath from Auli. Some of the other smaller trekking routes lead to Gorson, Tali, Kuari Pass, Khulara and Tapovan.
Auli Kuari Pass Tapovan Trek
A single day trek not recommended for beginners as it has some tough climbs. The highest altitude this trek reaches is 4,268 meters. The best season for taking this trek is in June and from September to October.
Auli Gorson Trek
This easy trek is open for all because the track is more or less like walking. It also includes camping in the wild. The trek normally follows this route:
The whole trip starts from and returns to Delhi takes almost 8 days. The real test is walking on snow-laden path; however entire hard work is worth when all the beauties of the world are tumbled in the white serenity of this place.
The actual trek from Auli bugyal to Gorson bugyal takes 3 hrs or so, covering almost 5-6 kms on foot.
Auli Snow View Trek
This week long trek has 4 days of travelling and 3 days earmarked for trekking and everyone can opt. This is one of the easiest trek and passes through snow-covered slopes which boast of powder snow. The maximum altitude this trek reaches is 3,400 m and the total distance covered is around 20 km.
