Vinayak Chaturthi It is the famous festival celebrated in the Southern part of India, and celebrated to the best of Lord Ganesha. The festival is celebrated in September Month. Lord Ranganatha (or Biligiriranga in Local Dialect) The festival is held by The Soliga Tribe, organized in month of April. As part of the festival, the statues of the Lord ‘Biligiri Ranganatha’ and his companionGoddess ‘Ranganayaki’ are carried in a beautifully embellished chariot or ‘Ratha’ straight down to the Biligiriranga Hills. Mahashivratri The festival is celebrated with richness and excitement with tribal worshipping oldest trees of Dodda Sampige Mara, which is considered as incarnation of Lord Shiva.

SHOPPING AREA

Biligiriranga Hills is a popular spot to shop and buy for Sogade Beru juice, Amla juice, Amla pickle, t-shirts, caps and multi-purpose ayurvedic potted plants. There are boutiques located around Gorukana Resorts, which sells traditional clothing and handicrafts made by Soliga Tribe. The Tribal Resource Centre is rich place for the purpose of buying tribal items for buying in Biligiriranga Hills.
