Dharamkot experiences some of the extremely pleasant summers within the temperature range of 25 degrees. The best time to visit Dharamkot, as locals opine, is during the months of September to June. It is best to avoid July and August due to the heavy rainfall it receives.

Summers
The summers in Dharamkot start from April and end by July. The temperature in summers fluctuates from 22 to 38 degrees. The weather remains extremely pleasant in summer as even the days do not feel too hot though nights are comparatively much cooler. Full sleeved clothes are recommended for the nights and sometimes you might even need a shawl.

Monsoons
July to September is the monsoon season wherein the temperatures oscillate between 18 and 22 degrees. Although Dharamkot does not receive a terrible amount of rainfall, yet it is not considered a good time to visit the hill station. Landslides are common endangering visitors’ lives. Road blocks follow such an event and visitors should keep a day or two extra to counter this. Light woolens are recommended during the monsoons as no one can predict when the mercury suddenly dips.

Winters
The wintery conditions start as early as October and continue till February or even early March. Snowfall normally can be expected from December end and continues until February. Dharamkot looks awesome during the snowfall time. The mercury dips to sub-zero range and the maximum barely crosses 7 degrees. Heavy to very heavy woolens are compulsory as sometimes the winter chills your spine.
