Leveled at an elevation of 2100 meters, Kodaikanalis a famous hill station retreat positioned in Southern part of India. The term Kodaikanal literally means Shade in the summer. Though a hill station, it never snows. It is never in the list of Very Cold cities. So the answer is, you can visit Kodaikanal any time of the year. But, weather changes frequently on hills and you should be prepared for cold weather in mornings & nights.
Though landslides, slippery roads can be expected, a travel advisory is difficult and tricky. YET, monsoon in hills is an extremely pleasurable experience. Incessant rains, cloudbursts, waterfalls out of nowhere are something to be seen and believed.
