Paragliding is the newly found recreational and competitive adventure sport of which has caught the fancy of adventure tourists. The joy of flying paragliders, the lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. The pilot usually sits in a harness suspended below a fabric wing. Type of Paragliding Flights Available
There are generally three kind of flights, Short ones for beginners and High altitude and aimed at experienced and those who have completed the short one. There is also one which fits in-between the two.
In the Short flight, thetourist is taken around 100 - 150 mts up the slope and then takes the flight along with the pilot in the two seater paraglider. The flight lasts for approximately 60 - 90 seconds. This one gives enough understanding about this sport is all about and how to control emotions and balance.
The Medium Flightis similar to the small flight but it is done in a zig-zag motion. The flight takes more time to land than short flights. It lasts around 3-7 minutes and used to show how the glider is controlled when wind disrupts the flight a bit.
The High flight usually lasts approximately 8-10 minutes and arranged at Fatru, Kothi and Bijli Mahadev respectively. This is usually done by experienced pilots who have done short flights and have the confidence of soaring high in the sky.
