This is a mask dance considerd religious in the Buddhist sect and is performed every year between February and March at the Pemayagtse Monastery.
It is celebrated fro about three days, starting from the 15th day of the first month of Tibetan Calender, by several pilgrims from Sikkim and neighbouring states. During this mela, the pilgrims offer ceremonies and light lamps at the Khecheolpuri Lake. This falls between the month of February and March.
