About Valparai

Valparai is an amazing hill station, strategically connected to Coimbatore district in Tamil Nadu, India. Situated at an elevation of 3,500 feet on the Anaimalai Hills, along the Western Ghats, it is a marvelous resplendent that attract international as well as domestic tourists and entice their imagination. The hill station has 40hairpin bends, while making the way to Valparai from Azhiyar.


How to Reach

By Air

Coimbatore is the nearest airport, 124 kilometers.

By Train

Coimbatore Junction is the nearest railway station - approximately 105 km. Coimbatore has got train services to most Indian cities

By Bus

Public buses are available every 30 minutes from Pollachi Bus Terminal covering 64 kilometers. Total journey time can exceed 4 hours. Visitors arriving via Coimbatore must visit Pollachi and then catch a bus to Valparai bus from there.

From Chalakudi there is bus to Valparai taking 6 hours one way.

It is 110 kilometers from Ernakulam (Cochin)

Best Time to Visit

Just 3,500 feet altitude means neither too chilly nor hot. Valparai is pleasant all through, except November to February might appear too chilly for some. Landslides may keep you off the town else even this period is enjoyable in monsoons.
