Situated 7200 feet above the sea level on the banks of Lidder River, Pahalgam is 45 kms away from the Anantnag District headquarters. Pahalgam is instantly connected with the Amarnath Yatra. Approximately 16 kms from Pahalgam, at Chadanwari, pilgrims going for Amarnath Yatra start their trek.
